Sneaker News can confirm that Kobe Brand is set to release a special “NY vs. NY” edition of the Nike Kobe 5 Protro, bringing one of the postseason’s most memorable footwear moments to the public later this Summer.

The colorway first appeared on the feet of Jalen Brunson during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, a contest that will be remembered as one of the most dramatic victories in Knicks history. Trailing late, New York engineered a stunning comeback behind the leadership of its All-NBA point guard, instantly turning the game into a defining moment of the franchise’s resurgence.
