Nike’s Lawsuit Against The Shoe Surgeon Ends With Money Settlement

Updated June 19th, 2025: Nearly a year later, the lawsuit has come to an end. Nike and The Surgeon have settled the legal battle, resulting in the customizer/designer paying Nike an undisclosed amount. The Surgeon is also prohibited from using any of Nike’s trademarks that may cause confusion. The Surgeon is still able to create 1-of-1s under strict conditions enforced by Nike.

Updated July 20th, 2024: Representatives of The Shoe Surgeon have reached out to Sneaker News with an official statement following the lawsuit by Nike. The statement was also posted on the official Instagram account of @thesurgeon.
