Before Michael Jordan entered the NBA or college, he was nicknamed the “Black Cat.” The moniker was chosen due to the way he moved on the court. His movements were smooth and stealthy but could strike at the drop of a dime. Similar to how a panther hits his prey. The nickname even spawned its own silhouette, the Air Jordan 13. The outsole of the shoes resembled that of a panther’s paws. However, we also saw several models dubbed “Black Cat,” which features an all-Black makeover. One of those is the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 3, which will make a return to retailers in the Spring 2025 season.
